-blink-182, Here's Your Letter
This week at work was passable. There was no godawful CD of Yum! Restaurants International parodies of "Mambo #5". (Yum! Restaurants owns Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut.) The last few days' worth of empty crates was already washed. I scored a free meal.
Of course, of all the days my obnoxious brother had to be in the car... he started eating my chips. Then since the family hadn't had lunch yet, we had to stop to buy more food, so by the time I got home, my burger wasn't that hot anymore. Stupid obnoxious brother. Then he has the fcuking (not a typo) audacity to pester me about why i'm annoyed.
After all that I shut myself in my room and played Starcraft. Again the obnoxious git tried to pester me. I really hate it when he pesters me about every single thing he can find that I keep on my desk, like my pens and stuff. "Where did you get that from" -"It was a gift" "From whom?" -"(
WTF! I'm sick of having to deal with that crap.
Okay, angst over. Really.
Like I said, I played Starcraft. I will be coming back to Crawl. Promise. Before I knew it, it was 6pm, and was wondering why I wasn't on my way to Sean's place yet.
I was once asked in a general context what the relative worth of a game's mechanics and whom you play the game with was in determining what game to play. I still can't decide. Pendragon is an alright system, I really like the Traits/Passions system because it helps you focus on your character's personality more and it can be the most incredible source of mirth sometimes. Combat is a touch bland, though I guess I've been spoiled by the ultra-cool systems of Exalted, Shadowrun and Ironclaw in recent times (read: living memory). It helps to play with friends too. Last year, when I roleplayed really heavily for a time, sometimes it was a bit of a trial to drag myself to games (even though they were good games) with people I didn't really know so well. As it happens, Pendragon is a bit of a weekly highlight. (How sad is that?)
Lord of the Rings today. I wish I didn't need any sleep.
Does anyone know when
Thought for the day:
Brothers should be neither seen nor heard.

If I do that, I might get my hands on 'City of the Spider Queen' from Duane to have a read of it... just so I can get my head around the general convention of module writing for DnD.
